Dear Friends, Members, and SB Community –

We wanted to update you about what we are doing at the Paddle Sports Center with all that is going on.  It has been a trying time for people all over the world, and we see how much it is affecting our local community.  People all over town are shutting down their doors and trying to adapt in the best way they can. For some that means closing their doors for weeks or more and others are trying to offer their services in an alternate manner.

To be transparent, this is hugely affecting our business.  March is a time when travelers from all over the world begin to visit Santa Barbara for spring break- the start of our busy season.  Paddle Sports has seen little if any foot traffic, countless reservation cancellations, membership cancellations and it is truly taking a toll.  Our Governor has directed bars, restaurants, movie theaters, health clubs and gyms to close. The Paddle Sports Center is similar to a gym or health club – so we have made the difficult decision to close our doors for the next two or more weeks.  We will, however, be available for small group excursions of 8 people or less, by reservation only.

What does this mean for us at PSC?  Well, we want to call on our local community and ask that you support us with a small contribution by purchasing a gift certificate, booking an excursion / lesson for later this year, or sign-up your kiddo for summer camp.  This will help us ‘weather the storm’ so we can open back up once this outbreak has subsided, because like all things in life, this too shall pass.  We hold so much gratitude in our hearts for all that have supported PSC over the years. If we can come together as a community, we can be resilient to anything that comes our way. As with the Thomas Fire and following mudslide, we needed to close by necessity, but when the coast was clear, we opened up; and the ocean was there for us.

We have plenty of new and exciting experiences yet to come this year, and we look forward to sharing those with you.  If you need to get hold of us, please text 805.774.1792 or email [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

We’re conveniently located at the two of the best paddling spots in the area – Santa Barbara Harbor (year-round) and Goleta Beach (May – Sept). Our paddlers frequently see Pelicans, Sea Lions, Dolphins & Whales!

You can easily walk or bike to the Harbor from the many hotels in downtown Santa Barbara or right off the 101. Feel free to call, email or stop in with any questions.

HOURS: 8am - 5pm
